Missions (Battlelog)

Missions are a feature on Battlelog for Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline that allow for players to compete against their friends by completing missions. Players who complete a specific mission twenty times will be awarded a Dog Tag for use in-game.

Battlefield 4

There are currently a total of eighteen missions available. Creators can make the mission available on any or all maps with the ability to also set the number of attempts players are able to undertake to complete it. Attempts can be made to range from one, three, five, or unlimited. Missions end when all players who have accepted the mission have completed their rounds with the maximum time limit being 48 hours. Only a total of five players, including the creator, can play a mission at once.

February 2014 was Player Appreciation Month which introduced Community Missions. These function similar to normal missions but objectives are community accumulated. Each mission has a specific time frame, with a gold battlepack awarded to all participant if completed. Since then, a variety of new community missions have been added and player specific missions have also been issued to unlock gold battlepacks and zodiac sign themed dog tags.

Trivia

Battlefield 4

• There were originally twenty missions but two missions, "Marksman" (best accuracy) and "Serial Killer" (highest killstreak) were removed from Battlelog for unknown reasons.

• Many of the missions were renamed to give them more straightforward titles (e.g., "LMG Expert" instead of "Suppressive Fire").

Battlefield Hardline

• Missions in the Battlefield Hardline beta use the same icons as in Battlefield 4.
