Monte Cassino is a map in Battlefield 1942 where you can play as the Free French or as Nazi Germany. This map isn't popular because it is nearly impossible to take the hill and win as the Free French. Map offers you light armor and stationary cannons which are quite useful against the French.
Tips and Tactics

- Destroy the anti-tank guns as they do not respawn; repair them, as they do not respawn.
- The anti-tank guns do relatively little damage to the front of the M10 (10 hits to kill, vs 2 to the sides). So always drive the M10 forward and swivel the turret.
- As the Allies, drive your tank over the eastern bridge and come up on the side of the lowest anti-tank gun, going to the left of the trees at the bottom of the hill. This anti-tank gun can't hit you in this location, though the ones further up can. One shot to the side of an anti-tank gun wheel will destroy it.
- Don't forget you can also drive the M10 across the eastern bridge, too, especially if the western bridge is mined.
- Bazookas are also effective against an anti-tank gun. One shot to the side wheel can destroy it.
- If you drive a Priest across the river and you have captured no control points yet, you are confusing it with an armored vehicle. Stay back and learn to use artillery.
- As Allies you can sneak along the western edge of the battlefield, jumping in and out of "You are leaving the area...". You can scale the western side of the mount and get in through the convenient hole in the wall.
