The Mossberg 500 is a 12-gauge, 20-gauge or .410 bore pump-action shotgun designed by O.F Mossberg & Sons in 1960.
Battlefield Vietnam
The Mossberg 500 is uniquely issued to the US Army Assault kit on certain maps. It features a 6 round capacity. It has high power, a low rate of fire, low accuracy and a short range. Performance wise, it is the ultimate close quarters weapon in the game. Usually, it can effectively kill targets from 20 meters away with only 2 or 3 shots. In anywhere within 10 meters, it is highly capable of killing in a single shot, and its low accuracy can still somewhat help with hip fire. Its main disadvantage is its low rate of fire due to the pump-action function, and the lack of range.

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat
