No Vehicles is a multiplayer-only game mode of Battlefield 2, introduced in version 1.41[1]. As the name suggests, it removes most vehicles from the map. The mode can be started by the server creator either in the game or by the dedicated server creation program BF2ServerLauncher.exe. This mode will then apply to all maps of that server. It is not compatible with Co-op.

When No Vehicles is applied, all land vehicles and aircraft are removed. On the other hand, the RIB is not removed, as these are still needed for teams that must navigate through water to join the battle, such as spawning from the US Carrier on certain maps. However, in what is likely an oversight, on Special Forces maps, the Jet Ski is still removed.

Stationary light machine guns remain available to be used against infantry. Stationary anti-air emplacements (Stinger and IGLA) are removed, as there is now no aircraft to use these against. However, stationary anti-tank emplacements (TOW and HJ-8) remain in place, despite there being no vehicles to use these against. This is likely an oversight.

Commander resources such as the Satellite scan or UAV are still available, but Artillery is removed from the map, and Vehicle Drop is disabled.
