Battlefield 2042[]
— In-game description
The PF51 is a weapon featured in Battlefield 2042, introduced in the Master of Arms season. Players can unlock the weapon by reaching tier 22 in the Battle Pass and available by complete assignments including 30 kills with the G57 and 60 kills with the MP9 afterwards. It is a fully-automatic sidearm, and has a 50 + 1 magazine capacity.
Possessing the ability to fire automatically and having a high ammunition capacity, the PF51 appears to be an very aggressive weapon. But in reality, it has the lowest damage in sidearms, and needs 7 bullets to kill enemies at ranges less than 9 meters. Albeit the high rate of fire makes it seem to have less time to kill than the G57, the recoil and spread of the PF51 makes it difficult to reach this ideal state.
For close range engagements, players should aim down sights as the hip-fire spread of PF51 is almost three times that of G57 and MP28. Therefore, it is best for players to use PF51 only at point blank range. The PF51 also got a long reload time, so when there are still enemies at that time, it is best to think of other ways.
The attachments suitable for PF51 requires a high number of kills to unlock, so it is not recommended for beginners to choose it as a sidearm. PF51 acts good in personel defense situations, while all other sidearms can be said to be more aggressive than it.
Note that although there is a " - Reload Speed" in the attachments description, the Subsonic ammunition actually has the same loading speed as the Standard Issue rounds. Meanwhile in the chart below, it can also be found that the Subsonic is somehow strangely has more damage at close range than Standard Issue. Considering the visibility of the Subsonic itself, players should prioritize using it.
When equipped with GAR45 Suppressor, it will added 1 bullet to kill at all ranges. Due to the increased recoil caused by the Tactical Compensator, the accuracy it brings is only reflected in single shots, and actually worse when full auto, which is make use of disadvantages and obviously impracticable. Similarly, the effect of Warhawk Compensator is roughly correspond to reducing the spread of bullets in vertical and increasing the horizontal. Anyway, the Champion Muzzle Brake that reduces vertical recoil would be the most utility.
