PLA Stormtrooper Leader is a minor character featured in Battlefield 4's singleplayer campaing. He is a field commander of Chinese PLA storm unit, which boarded Valkyrie during the battle of Suez Canal.
Battlefield 4[]
The unnamed commander led a large elite unit of PLA stormtroopers, serving directly under admiral Chang. When Chang realized that Jin Jié was alive on board of USS Valkyrie, he decided to ultimately kill the politician, in order to "bury the truth" and gain full control of Chinese government. After the American ship got ambushed inside the Suez Canal, Chang sent a large elite stormtrooper unit, led by the mentioned commander, to board the Valkyrie and kill everybody inside.
Chinese soldiers were initially unaware of Jie's real status, so they simply complied Chang's orders, slaughtering both American Marines as well as Shanghai refugees. Eventually, Valkyrie's VIP staff, including captain Garrison, Marion Duncan and Jin Jie, got trapped inside ship's medical bay, protected only by a single steel door. The PLA Stormtrooper Leader personally commanded his forces toward the med bay, however, the Chinese were unable to breach the door.
When Tombstone Squad made their way into the medical bay, Jin Jie asked Recker to open the entrance, so the politician could reveal his real fate to the unaware PLA forces. Despite Garrison's protests, Recker eventually opened the door, letting Chinese assault troops inside. After a brief standoff, Jin Jie took off his bandages, revealing that he is alive. The Stormtrooper Leader quickly recognised the politician and immediately radioed all his forces to stop the hostilities.
After a very short armistice, the Valkyrie got hit by Chang's warship. Despite the order to hold fire, a small group of PLA forces remained loyal to the rogue admiral. Stormtrooper Leader, seemingly shocked by getting lied and betrayed by Chang, revealed to Hannah the admiral's ship exact location. Depending on player's actions, the PLA Stormtrooper Leader either remains alive as Jin Jie's loyalist or gets killed during Valkyrie's explosion.

- PLA Stormtrooper Leader doesn't speak English. When he talks to the Americans, all his sentences are translated from Chinese by Hannah.
- He bears a unique look, compared to other Chinese forces. He wears singleplayer's Support body armor and has modified Assault's head model (being bald and without helmet).
