The PP-29 is a weapon featured in Battlefield 2042. It is unlocked at level 18.
The PP-29's defining quality is its high range. Paired with an above average default magazine size of 53 rounds, it is strongly suited for close to medium-range engagements, further complemented with its stock High-Power rounds.
The PP-29's high range, large magazine size, and relatively quick reload makes it extremely easy to use and very deadly at medium ranges. The PP-29 has a strong vertical kick, more so than other SMGs, making it unwieldy to use at longer ranges if proper recoil management is not practiced.
Due to its magazine placement, the underbarrel attachments cannot be equipped. Using High-Power ammunition by default, players can unlock a variety of sights, muzzles or other ammo types that improve the PP 29's versatility on the battlefield.

Trivia[]
- Carbon Series weapon skin was originally called Carbon Helical. This was changed in Update 1 (Season 1).
- The original description was "SMG chambered for 9mm Makarov pistol rounds with a unique 53-rounds, under-barrel helical magazine that doubles as a foregrip.". This was changed in later update.
