It uses the same model and sounds from its ''Battlefield 1942'' counterpart, however uses different animations. Specifically, its reload animation is the same as the [[SA-7]]'s from the base game. Its performance and stats are very similar to those from its counterpart in the previous game.

The Panzershreck (English: Tank terror), officially the Raketenpanzerbüchse (English: Rocket armor rifle), was a German rocket launcher designed during World War II. It was a reusable, shoulder-fired rocket launcher that fired a 88mm rocket-propelled grenade. It was heavily based on the American Bazooka.

The Panzerschreck in Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII at Hellendoorn

In Battlefield 1942, the Panzerschreck is issued to the Wehrmacht and IJN Anti-Tank kit. Its essential use is as an anti-armor is quite effective, as it can take only 2 rockets from the back of a tank to destroy it. However, a player must truly look towards flanking a tank, as the frontal armor is much more durable. It can usually destroy a light vehicle in a single shot. It has a large blast radius and damage as well, making it an effective weapon to use against groups of enemies, though aim is key as there is only a single rocket per relatively long reload. It is a direct equivalent (in stats) to the Allies' Bazooka.
