Overview BF2 BC2 Play4Free BF3
BF4 Hardline Battlefield 2042

Two versions of RPK are featured in Battlefield Portal, added in Eleventh Hour season. The BF3 RPK-74M is available for base game. It should be noted that even in the Portal, these two weapons still need to be unlocked before they can be used, and they share the same progress.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2[]

"This light machine gun firing the 7.62 round replaced the RPD as the standard Soviet squad suppressive weapon. It was eventually replaced by the RPK-74."

— In-game description

The RPK is a weapon exclusively featured in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 portion of Battlefield Portal.

For the Classical Tuning off situations, thanks in part to the low firing rate, the recoil of 7.62mm RPK is actually significantly lower than that of RPK-74M, but more importantly, its maximum spread is much better than the base game LMGs. After deploying the bipod, the recoil and spread RPK will fully reach a level of "laser gun".

Players need to pay attention to teamwork in combat, as this gun has only one drum as a backup (e.g. M60E4 has 400 rounds).

The progress achieved by 7.62mm RPK will not be calculated into the Mastery of RPK-74M.

Battlefield 3[]

"This version of the original RPK boasts a heavier barrel and a deployable bipod. Capable of semi and full auto fire from its oversized 45 round magazine."

— In-game description

The RPK-74M is a weapon featured in Battlefield 3 portion of Battlefield Portal and in the base game as of the Eleventh Hour season as a "Vault Weapon". Unlocking the RPK-74M requires 100 kills and assists with the XM8 LMG and 20 kills with AKS-74u at a distance of 25 meters or more.
