The Russian Civil War was a multi-party conflict that occurred in the former Russian Empire towards the end of World War I following the Russian Revolutions of 1917. The two largest groups in the conflict were the Communist Red Army and the loosely allied White Army. Eight foreign nations intervened against the Red Army, notably the Allied Forces and the pro-German armies.
The war ended with the defeat of the White Army and other parties, resulting in the formation of the Soviet Union.
The maps Tsaritsyn and Volga River in Battlefield 1: In the Name of the Tsar DLC take place during this conflict, and form the Red Tide Operation.
