The S-26 SeaArk Stinger is a fast-attack patrol boat used by the United States Marine Corps. It is powered by two impellers located within the hull of the boat that use side ducts to draw water in and force it out through two directed nozzles at the rear. This gives the craft high speed and maneuverability, but its maneuverability suffers at lower speeds due to the nature of its propulsion.
The Stinger has two positions for mounting weapons: one in the front, ahead of the driver, and one in the rear. It can carry a full squad of soldiers quickly to shore or conduct patrols along harbors and be used as a platform for clearing underwater mines.
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat[]
In Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, the S-26 is the USMC fast attack craft featured on multiple maps in multiplayer. It is essentially an equivalent of the MEC/PLA Patrol Boat Light, but armed with a Mk 19 grenade launcher in front and a M2 Browning in the rear.
