SCAR 11 is the standard issue assault rifle in Battlefield 2142 for the Assault kit on the EU faction.
In-game description
"The combined effort of multiple US and European arms manufacturers, the SCAR 11 has become the standard issue Assault Rifle due to its robust firepower and ability to perform in cold weather conditions. The SCAR 11 maintains a high rate of fire even in arctic climates, using an integrated heat distributor to prevent apparatus freezing. Electronically-fired, each tungsten-core round boasts an impact velocity of over 800 m/s, penetrating even the latest body armor technologies."
Usage
The SCAR 11, is noticeably weaker than the PAC counter-part, the Krylov FA-37. While it has the same low fire rate as Baur H-AR, it does not make up for it in damage - it does just +2 damage compared to the Krylov which is irrelevant as the same amount of hits is required to kill an enemy with both weapons. Despite its easy handle on full auto, the simple fact that Krylov has a 50% higher fire rate compared to the SCAR can result in it being outperformed by the PAC rifle when in the hands of skilled recoil handlers except for long range battles, where both are equal. EU players should either pick one of the unlock weapons instead (Voss L-AR or Baur H-AR) or scavenge the Krylov off of killed PAC Assault soldiers.
The SCAR can also be equipped with PK-74 AR-Rockets or the Herzog AR-Shotgun as attachments.
