This article is a stub. It is short and in need of fortification. Why not help out?

"February 29th, 1968 - For 77 days, the North pounded on the Khe Sahn[sic] Combat Base hoping to repeat their victory over the French at Dien Bien Phu. The N.V.A. tried everything to break the U.S. resolve. Eventually, the U.S. used creative artillery tactics to break the siege and repel the N.V.A."

— Map Briefing

The Siege of Khe Sahn is a map featured in Battlefield Vietnam loosely based on the Battle of Khe Sanh that took place during the Vietnam War.

Conquest[]

"Khe Sahn is a Mission Map. Khe Sahn Combat Base is worth three times as much as any other base. Control five bases or Khe Sahn and two other bases and the opposing team will constantly lose tickets."

— Map Briefing

Following the Fall of Lang Vei, N.V.A. forces set out to destroy the Khe Sahn Combat Base, marked as "KSCB" on the map, and is also the titular control point. The N.V.A. now has additional reinforcements in the form of fixed wing aircraft and artillery, and holds four control points surrounding KSCB.

On the other hand, the U.S. holds KSCB and another control point, balancing the number of control points and preventing a ticket bleed for the U.S. at the start.

In singleplayer this point spawns two 469/M.U.T.T. instead.

Khe Sahn Village[]

The southern US control point directly east of Lang Vei Base. It spawns a M.U.T.T. and an M113. Under NVA control it will spawn a 469 and a PT-76.

In singleplayer, only one of the two 469/M.U.T.T. will spawn.

Ca Lu Bridge Camp[]

The northeastern NVA control point, serving as the NVA airfield. It spawns a ZSU-57-2, a 469, a MiG-21, a MiG-17 and a Mi-8. Under US control none of the aircraft will spawn, but it will spawn an M-110, an M113 and a M.U.T.T.

In singleplayer the US M-110 will be replaced by a Sheridan.

K.S.C.B.[]

The US main base. This control point is worth 3 times as much as any other control point. It spawns an F-4 Phantom, an A-7 Corsair, two M.U.T.T., a Cobra, and a Huey Gunship. If this is captured by the NVA, a PT-76 and two 469 will spawn.

In singleplayer, there are no M.U.T.T. or 469.
