Solveig, full name Solveig Fia Bjørnstad, is the protagonist and main character of the Battlefield V singleplayer war story Nordlys. During the winter of 1943, she is affiliated with the indigenous resistance movement opposing the German occupying forces in Norway. Her mother Astrid, a fellow resistance member, is captured, and Solveig sets off to rescue her while also foiling the German scheme to export heavy water.

Despite a young appearance, Solveig demonstrates traits of an effective soldier - skilled with weapons, determined, and adept in hand-to-hand fighting, demonstrated in the singleplayer trailer where she overpowers a soldier in a struggle, and kills another silently with a knife, both without hesitation. Her aggression and combat efficiency is infamous with the local garrison. Aside from combat skills, she is shown to be a capable skier and outdoorswoman, in addition to having a strong sense of responsibility and love for her family, as she braves both cold and extreme danger to rescue her mother. Her toughness is known to her parent also, indicated when she is thrown by Astrid from a bridge into an icy river in order to prevent her capture.[1]
