A Stubby Grip is a shorter version of a full size Vertical Grip. Such grips are primarily intended to keep a shooter's hand from moving forward of the muzzle, as well as allowing more space for other attachments on a weapon.
Several models of Stubby Grips featured in the Battlefield series include the TangoDown Vertical Grip and the BCM Vertical Grip.
Battlefield 4[]
— In-game description
The Stubby Grip is an accessory for primary weapons in Battlefield 4. Functioning identically to the potato grip, it improves the accuracy of a weapon by decreasing the spread increase per shot of a weapon by 20% and reduces the max spread a weapon can achieve by 17%. The stubby grip is particularly advantageous on weapons where firing in long bursts is a viable option, as it will effectively result in a tighter grouping. Like all other grips in Battlefield 4, it reduces the spread decrease of a weapon by 33%, meaning that it will take longer for a weapon's accuracy to reset.
The Stubby Grip compliments the Muzzle Brake and Compensator well, as it halves their 30% spread increase penalty and completely nullifies the 30% increase in max spread while aiming. This allows the player to retain more of a weapon's accuracy with these attachments than they normally would, and making longer bursts more viable with ranged engagements. The Stubby Grip when combined with the heavy barrel is the most accurate setup for the majority of weapons in the game (exceptions include the AEK and FAMAS).

— In-game description
The Stubby Grip is a weapon attachment featured in Battlefield Hardline.
Much like its Battlefield 4 counterpart, it reduces the spread increase from each shot, making it most useful for firing long bursts.
It can be used alongside the Muzzle Brake or Compensator for a benefit in both stability and accuracy, or used with the Heavy Barrel to achieve the highest accuracy in rapid fire.
Like other grips, the Stubby Grip has two models, depending on which weapon it is used on. The MP5K has a Stubby Grip built-in, and the Stubby Grip is automatically unlocked for the RO933.
The Stubby Grip can be unlocked through the use of a Voucher.
