Su-33s onboard the Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov.

The Su-33 (NATO reporting name "Flanker-D") is a Russian carrier-based jet fighter aircraft designed by Sukhoi. Designed in the early 80's, it was introduced to the Russian armed forces in 1994. Based off the Su-27, it features many similarities with other modern Russian fighters. Its armament consists of a 30mm cannon, several air-to-air missiles, various rockets and bombs, and electronic countermeasures

Battlefield 3

The Su-33 Flanker-D is seen at the end of the Full Length Fault Line Trailer. It is seen flying by a player controlled aircraft and soon hit by two missiles. It was cut before release and does not appear in the final version of the game.

The Su-33 canards were removed and later appeared as the Su-35BM Flanker-E another version of the "Flanker" series.
