Supply Drops are a microtransaction system featured in Battlefield Heroes that allow players to earn cosmetic items and Widgets to decorate their characters through the use of random chance.
Players are able to purchase Supply Drops for Play4Free Funds. Each Supply Drop contains only one item from the available pool of items for the case. Supply Drops were often released in conjunction with a themed cosmetic bundle, a promotion or as standard in the base game. All team-specific supply drops require the player to have a character of the given team to open. Once a player has obtained all unique objects in a supply drop, future openings will result in Widgets being obtained. All case openings will award the player an item worth minimum the price of the supply drop itself.
