Swimming in the Battlefield series allows an infantry to traverse water.
In earlier games, players cannot use weapons while swimming.
Battlefield 4 introduced multiple new elements to swimming. Players can use sidearms while swimming. Players can now accelerate their swimming and prevent the use of their sidearm by holding Sprint while swimming.
Players can dive below water in later games.
Trivia[]
- In Battlefield 4, accelerated swimming uses a front crawl stroke, which splashes the water more, making the swimmer more visible.
