Problem with the Article I'm from Iran Tehran and I have visited Alborz Mountains numerous times and I'd like to express the FACT that what they created is nowhere near the real thing and it isn't even a little close. So I would simply ask that you allow me to post that the mountains in this game don't look like the real thing even a bit.

Have you been in every single part during winter? This is set in winter over a specific part of the range. If I remember correctly, they did most of it based off of satellite data.Joltthecoat (talk) 23:23, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
@Joltthecoat, Alborz is not this green. There are some lush parts, but DICE does just takes inspiration from satellite images. It is not exact. It certainly does snow, but the amount of greenery is limited. There are some maps that look real close to their counterparts (Noshahr Canals, Tehran Highway, etc.), but some are just inspiration. I really hope this isn't a 100% accurate rendition, and that I'm secretly being trained for some future mission under mandatory service. Last time I was up in the mountains, I got winded climbing a single flight of stairs. To me, having been nowhere near Iran, Tehran Highway doesn't seem to resemble anything in Google Maps. It's pretty disturbing to see real-life places turned into stages for shooter games, getting you into the mindset of "if I wanted to murder all of these people, this is where I would camp". I play these games to take a break from reality, and I hope you all do too. Nayhem (talk) 09:17, September 16, 2012 (UTC)
The vista in Tehran Highway is accurate, as it was taken from a hi-res night photograph of Tehran. The actual map isn't based on anything in Google Maps. None of the maps are 100% accurate renditions, not even Noshahr, which, to me, seems to be the most accurate Google Maps-to-game implementation out of the bunch. Its a game, yes, but if they're using real names and giving some attempt to base it on real life areas, then some people might get annoyed that they aren't consistent. Such is the case with Alborz.
