Talk: G36C

Why does this article say that this weapon is in Bad Company 2? The G36 LMG is, but not this, at least not currently(March 9th, 2010).

G36C, K, & E merge

Maybe it'd be beneficial to merge all the different versions of this rifle (and if not the E version then at least the C and K versions, which are effectively the same rifle) into a G36 page. Separate subheadings for each variant. Anyone agree? Йура 19:45, September 2, 2011 (UTC)

See, me and I believe DEathgod Son of a Magnet had this discussion a long while ago. Although it would make sense, each variant is a separate weapon with different stats. And the K and E variants have different fire modes. We figured it was best for simplicity back then, but I am willing to reconsider as I origiannly proposed such a merge. It's like having all the M16 variants on the same page. I'm fine with leaving out whichever one's a carbine, but the actual rifles should be merged together. Йура 13:58, September 3, 2011 (UTC)

But the M16 is a special case because there are so many variants of the rifle that would be confusing to make a page M16/M4. And as example you can see that there is only one page for the SCAR-L but in Bad Company it is the carabine version. Said this I think that merge two pages would be senseless as there are differences between each variant, as noted by PresidentEden, so for me there should be a G36 page OR three different pages.X048J 21:38, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

How is the M16 a 'special case'? There's very few differences between each version of the M16 -- the M16A1 and A4 may seem very different, but all of them have the same overall design. The differences between the G36C and the G36K are so minute that they're almost the same weapon (indeed, the C model is a variation of the K model, both of which stand for synonymous terms, Kurz and Compact).

The big difference between the SCAR-L and SCAR-H are the round it fires. Йура 22:31, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

I know this infact I was talking about SCAR-L and SCAR-L Carabine.

Well, if anything, I'm all for a merge of the K and E variants, but I still feel the C should be separate, because otherwise we could consider merging the separate XM8 articles and the MG36 in with this, since they are part of a weapon class. PresidentEden78 21:21, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

BF3 G36 Series

Why do you think they DICE didn't add an assault rifle variant of the G36 series? I've always been for having a rifle's family of variants put into a game.

Well the creative team at DICE decided to pick and mix the most interesting or hardest hitting guns and just dumping every variant in the game would cause confusion, and lack that unique feeling with each gun. Deniedoperative 06:42, February 23, 2012 (UTC)

Due the abominations. Im deciding to merge all the G36s.
