Coalition fury had possessed so many within the Japanese Self-Defense Force that when the coup happened it was over by days. Those who survived only had two choices: submit or death.
Some within the JSDF opted for a third option: exile. Self-imposed banishment. By their own hand, they chose the life of Ronin. Wandering soldiers.
But they were not without purpose. As they fled from the Coalition's takeover, they swore to return. Japan would be their home again.
