He was sent on a top secret mission, codenamed Operation Aurora, to investigate a possible WMD threat being designed by the Japanese and extract a defecting scientist working on the weapon. After initially succeeding in his mission alongside his squad, the WMD was set off as they escaped from the island in a submarine. This resulted in killing everyone on board the vessel, including Wyatt.
