A tuk-tuk on display at a mall.

The Tuk-tuk (Thai: ตุ๊กตุ๊ก Tuk-tuk; English: Motor tricycle) is the Thai nickname given to an auto-rickshaw, a three-wheeled miniature truck. Tuk-tuks are popular in South and Southeast Asia as they provide a cheap and small transport vehicle to be used for taxiing services or for transporting commercial goods.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam

"This auto rickshaw is not recommended for military service or any other heavy duty job. It will take you to your destination though - very cheap, special price."

— In-game description

In Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam, the Tuk-tuk is a light vehicle that appears exclusively in Conquest mode, and spawns regardless of which faction controls the nearby flag. It has space for three players: one driver and two passengers, one crouched and facing backwards, the other standing and peeking over the driver's hood. It drives at a moderate speed and has very little torque, meaning it has slow acceleration and cannot climb steep inclines. It's not recommended to drive it around where combat is going on, since a couple of shots from a conventional weapon, or a sudden explosion, could already destroy it. Additionally, driving into a tree or another obstacle on its full speed causes it to detonate as well.
