DICE Producer hints at A Future Bad Company Title.[]

Miss Marlowe & the Boys of The 222nd? Well, you're in luck. First reported on BF3blog but detailed further via GameInformer.com, DICE Producer Patrick Liu was asked by a reporter for The Guardian if there are any plans for Battlefield's spin-off Bad Company series. Liu in turn, said:

"We haven't killed Bad Company! But we can only make so many games. Be patient – there might be something else coming up...

"We always have a couple of projects going on – some of them die, but some are more fruitful. We don't have any plans to make Battlefield an annual title – we want to make it ourselves we don't want anyone else doing it! And no studio can make an annual franchise by themselves – well, the sports titles can but they're a very different breed."

The Game Informer article also further details the changes from Beta to Final for Battlefield 3. This is great news considering the Bad Company Series is what got me back into Battlefield, and as I had stated before, I'd personally like to see a sequel to 2142.

As those of you who had played through Bad Company 2's campaign know, it left off with the Russians "coming in through Alaska" resulting in a cliffhanger, however, many players concluded that was left to continue into the game's Multiplayer.

Regardless, whatever route DICE takes, whether it be Mirror's Edge 2 or another Battlefield game, I have no doubts that it'll be great.

UPDATE: I know this is the "Battlefield Wiki", but here is the Mirror's Edge Easter Egg on Operation Metro. Some take it as a hint that Mirror's Edge 2 will in fact be DICE's next game.

UPDATE #2 (Sort've off-topic): I just found this via Roland Smedberg's (a.k.a "RollieThePollie" or "RolliePollie") DICE's senior VIdeo Director's website, Epic Bubble. It's the making of Battlefield: Bad Company and it's pretty darn funny.
