DICE LA have announced a new expansion DLC for Battlefield 4 named Night Operations, set to be released in September 2015.
Night Operations will feature the public release of Zavod: Graveyard Shift, a redesigned night version of Zavod 311 that has been on the Community Test Environment for a couple months now. Graveyard Shift is focused on stealthy and tactical gameplay, with passive and active spotting as well as footstep sounds being touched on to improve flanking and audio tracking of enemies. Night time gadgets, like the IRNV, FLIR, and Flashlights, have also been overhauled to be much more useful in darker environments like Graveyard Shift. The map will playable in all standard gamemodes along with a speciality Gun Master preset tailored for night battles.
Night Operations will also be accompanied by the Summer patch, which includes some weapon tweaks, a public server team balancer, and more netcode improvements.
The expansion will likely be free like the Weapons Crate Pack released in the spring, but what else will be included in it besides the Summer patch and Graveyard Shift has not been announced, with more news said to be coming soon. Given the title of the expansion, it's possible that Infiltration of Shanghai will also be included, but this remains to be seen.
