On May 31st 2014, the GameSpy login and browser servers of older Battlefield installments are set to be closed down, thus rendering all Online Battlefield 1942, Vietnam, 2, and 2142 accounts unusable unless further action is taken by EA\DICE. Direct IP connection is not an option for Battlefield 2 and 2142 (GameSpy servers are nessecary for login) accounts, which renders them unable to play multiplayer and only offline Co-Op accounts will be avaliable...
