The Kel-Tec CMR-30 is a semi-automatic carbine produced by the American company Kel-Tec. It was initially unveiled in 2010 as the "RMR-30" prototype, and eventually entered production in late 2014 as the CMR-30.
The CMR-30 appears in Battlefield 2042 named the VCAR and categorized as a Designated Marksman Rifle.

The VCAR is a weapon featured in Battlefield 2042. It is unlocked at level 47.
The VCAR is a compact designated marksman rifle suited to more close range engagements. Firing in semi-automatic, it has the highest capacity out of all its contemporaries and also the second fastest fire rate after the BSV-M.
Although designed for close range operations as a whole, it should be noted that the VCAR's hip fire spread is almost twice of submachine guns like PBX-45. Therefore, player should try to aim down sights during combat.
Thanks to its damage and rate of fire, VCAR has the second lowest theoretical time to kill in its class. However, this advantage is extremely limited. Compared to BSV-M (35 damage within 50 meters) with the same maximum damage, when using Close Combat ammunition, VCAR can only have better combat capability within 29 meters, while damage beyond that will be reduced.
Currently, the G428 introduced in Dark Creations season has the lowest time to kill in its class (223 ms, 0-49 meters), but VCAR still keeps it advantage in ammunition capacity.

- On its receiver, the VCAR was said to be manufactured by "Gunter", same with PF51.
- Carbon Series weapon skin was originally called Carbon on Carbon. This was changed in Update 1 (Season 1).
