Wilhelm Tannstedt is an Elite available in Battlefield V for the Axis Powers in The Company. He was released alongside Hanna Delacroix on May 28, 2019 as a part of Tides of War Chapter 3 Trial By Fire. He can be purchased for 990
.
As with other Elites, Wilhelm features a unique victory animation and an exclusive melee weapon: the German Naval Dagger. It is unlocked upon completion of Wilhelm's Special Assignment.
Description
Place of Birth: Hamburg, Germany
Explosives and demolition expert. Experienced tank hunter. Kreigsschule military school graduate. Specialization in siege tactics.
If it can be destroyed, Tannstedt will find a way to do it. A ruthless combatant. His straight-forward manner commands respect from his squadmates, even if they have to maintain a safe distance. Bold. Unflinching. Seizes the initiative. Sets out to fulfill every mission requirement to the letter. Has a reputation of seeing explosives as the solution to every problem. Possible hearing damage.

Trivia
- The Elite Wilhelm Tannstedt was originally named Wilhelm Franke, coincidentally sharing the same name as a notable member of the German anti-fascist resistance that was active before and during World War II. As a result of the controversy, Electronic Arts stated "We’ve become aware that one of the names of our Elites, Wilhelm Franke, shares the name of a real life resistance member in Germany during the Second World War," Electronic Arts said "We want to apologize as we certainly didn’t mean any disrespect to him. We are in the process now of changing the name of our Elite in the game."[1] The Elite's name was changed in patch on 25th June 2019.
- In the same patch, the standard Axis character Wilhelm was renamed Harald to avoid confusion.
- Wilhelm wears a reconstructive face mask that was common for soldiers to wear after suffering severe facial injuries during World War II.
